Yesterday, both I and Hunter suggested that perhaps we need a Day without any Trump.
I offered up the suggestion that we turn the REClist into a Pootie Paradise from 10 am EST to 4 pm PST.
I would also at this time make a special request of anyone who has been the direct recipient of a Community Caring Quilt, or is the friend or family member of someone who received one, to write a Pootie story and publish it during this time frame.
What I’m asking is that you include in your story (or make it the focus of your story) a mention of and a link to the Kickstarter that Sara R and winglion have going until October 7th.
These ladies have given so much to our Community. They’ve created and distributed 186 Community Quilts already. They’ve given us an opportunity to come together

Kitsap River, who received her Community Quilt during the time she was undergoing life-saving (but horribly, terribly miserable and painful) regular kidney dialysis treatments. She was lucky to finally receive the gift of life, in the form of a donated kidney in 2011.

PLEASE, I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart, if you OR someone dear to you has been helped by the gift of one of these Community Quilts? Spend a bit of your time Sunday and write something and include a link to the Pootie Pads Kickstarter.
It could be the difference between Sara and Ann having a decent life with a dependable income going forward, or eventually losing their home and living a dire life of need. Because that is where they are now. That’s the blunt truth of things. Age, ill health, medical disasters and other events have conspired to bring them to the brink of despair. But we, collectively, can do something about it.
I’m not asking for your money (unless you are able and want to become a sponsor, in which case I offer you my humble thanks AND THIS LINK).
I’m just asking for a bit of your time and the use of THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA to change the lives of these two kind ladies.
Turnabout IS fair play, after all. So do the Reed Sisters a good turn. Help them spread the word of their Kickstarter, so that enough people see the message and become sponsors and fully fund their project. Currently, they are at 67 backers and $5,108 out of the $24,905 of their target goal. If they don’t reach that target? All sponsors will be refunded and they will receive nothing.
I’ve asked people like this to help. If I can do that, can’t you ask the people YOU know or are friends with on Social Media to just take a look?
