In all the stramash over the rollout of DK 5.0 something got lost.
And by lost, I mean this changeover to the new operating system and GUI (graphic user interface) got rid of something which has been turning Daily Kos into Pie Fight Central for quite some time now.
But did you notice that it’s over? No more Thread Wars are happening.
People are still sniping here and there — but those comments? They’re one-offs and don’t turn the tone of the entire thread into a war zone anymore!
The CONVERSATION is coming back.
And all it took was turning off the ability of anyone to see HRs FLAGs being thrown on the play, or who was doing the throwing. Putting some invisible moderation into effect and to GOOD use.
