It's not short (9:22) but you all need to listen to storyteller & filmmaker Matthew Cooke

Leslie Jones, the GREAT Leslie Jones put this in my timeline on Twitter, and now, I’ve shared it with all of you.

Discuss, share on other platforms.

But please, first use up 10 of your precious minutes and LISTEN to the whole bit.

It’s hypnotizing after a while, after you hear and see “time to wake up” a few times.

My favorite line of the entire piece is:

“Because Biden is not our tribal warlord.”

How crazy is this country that such things must be said, out loud, to the people in the leadership of the opposition Party?

This is a wake up call for republicans. https://t.co/ZPkWdAKEjF

For those of you who can’t watch video on Twitter, here’s the YouTube version:

I also have connected with someone on Twitter who is a founder of the Renew Democracy Initiative  (RDI.org/newsletter) a group whose Board also includes former Lt Col. Alexander Vindman, seen here in one of their Twitter messages. Their goal is to find the common ground we need to tune the nation to, following the insanity of the Trump Era.

We're excited to launch the #RenewDemocracy Challenge with @AVindman! During a dark time, we need to showcase the best of our democracy. Share a short video about what democracy means to you & nominate 3 friends to do the same! Be sure to use hashtag: #RenewDemocracypic.twitter.com/GrYIffBgaT

I share these with you to remind us all that there will be a world post-Trump and a lot of decent reasonable people are out there already, getting ready for the day. It might behoove us to start paying attention to some of them, there is wisdom here, and we are going to need all of THAT that we can get in the coming months and years.
