Yesterday in Atlanta, Georgia there was another Bernie Sanders rally for his campaign for president.
There have been a lot of these rallies since June 2015, and they’ve been attended by a lot of people — mostly white people. And due to that there has been a lot of talk about how Sanders just isn’t getting the support of the Black communities of America and even more, that he won’t get their support in the primary elections upcoming.
The polling shows candidate Hillary Clinton with the lion’s share of the support of persons of color (POC), time and time and time again. The analysis of that polling is that Sanders is only appealing to white people and that he has no chance to garner the support of the black vote in the upcoming primary elections and caucuses.
If this fairly short introductory speech by Hip Hop & Rap musician Killer Mike is anything to go by, I believe that analysis is flawed.
