I’m starting to get very troubled by the level of vitriol being pumped out on the Wreck List daily in the Campaign Primary Wars.
I see people in the threads in these stories, who in past years have been congenial and convivial — but are now right down to getting out the virtual pistoles and calling for their Seconds!
HEY! You all should not be getting so emotionally involved with your candidate that it’s turning you into a hater of the supporters of someone else. It’s destructive and furthermore — what’s in it for you?
You won’t turn someone from the other camp with angry or snide or nasty words, will you?
You won’t get someone to actively support your choice after the nomination if you make them HATE your candidate by the time that happens, will you?
So how about we all scale back the vituperous tirades and give the readership a break?
You have the urge to write ANOTHER story about the primary race? How about one on a specific state and the work being done by the campaign volunteers there? That might actually be worth reading!
