So, that's over. But what about tomorrow? SCOTUS, Cabinet Seats, NATO and, sadly, much more...

So the immediate response to the news that Donald Barron Trump will be the 45th President of the United States has happened.

Liberals and Progressives have flung their grief and fear out into the wind tonight and a great noise of mourning was heard across the land — and around the world, because those folks know what a delusional, egotistical wealthy, old white man in power looks like.

But what about tomorrow?

Here are the things we need to start thinking about and getting ready for:

The Supreme Court

Ruth Bader Ginsburg can’t hang in there four more years, she’s already 83. She deserves a retirement after nearly a quarter century of Service. So that’s at least two seats he’ll fill. The last time a Republican seated a Justice, we were concerned about Chief Justice Roberts. We’re going to look back on the Bush Administration with fondness before the first year of Trump is over, believe you me.

I don’t have a clue who he will nominate, but I can guarantee you one thing, as soon as they are seated we can say GOODBYE to Roe v Wade, among other things.

The Executive Orders of President Barack Obama

Trump will be reversing them, toot de suite. You can bet on it. Good-bye DREAM Act and anyone who has been under it’s protection the past few years. That’s just a sample, I’m sure The Donald will be all erase, erase, erase on Day One.

Trump’s Cabinet

There are 15 seats on the current Cabinet: Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs.

We can surely expect Trump to throw Education, HHS, HUD and Labor out the door. Hey, he campaigned on the idea that he would withdraw the United States from NATO, you think he’ll have a problem throwing out some Cabinet seats? I don’t.

So, let’s see the seats left, and whom he might put in them and in the top spots in seats of power in the Executive Branch…

Attorney General? Chris Christie has to be at the top of the list, his #BridgeGate problems won’t be a problem for the President-elect, why should they? HE has a Fraud Trial commencing on November 28th. Birds of a feather flock together.

Secretary of State? Newt Gingrich. You know this guy has just been waiting with bated breath to get back into power.

Director of the FBI? Rudy Guliani. Obsessive and paranoid, he’ll be fine as the top dog in the premier investigative Agency of the Federal Government. Right?

Ah, it’s late and I’m tired and can’t bear the thought of thinking of the horrendous people he is going to install into the positions of power in our Federal Government.

Perhaps you all can help me with some suggestions?

Elections DO have consequences. But I’m not certain we are ready for just how bad it’s going to be...
