Sorry, can’t give you one. Because when I go to my old UID of Angie in WA State and click on DIARIES to get the list of diaries I wrote under that name? I get the Preview of every diary instead of a bloody list. Do I want to spend an hour scrolling endlessly looking for the diary I want to link to? HELL NO I DO NOT.
Take my word for it. Somewhere back in 2011 (four years ago) I wrote five diaries called VISUAL GUIDE TO DAILY KOS 4.0. Showing everyone how the site was different visually but it still WORKED the same for users.
That, sadly is completely UNTRUE for this new update to 5.0
Nothing works the same, even though some of it sort of looks the same.
My diary story image up above? That shows something which looks ok, but works back-assward.
See the circled words “More Stories”?
Shouldn’t clicking that link give you a list of more of the Recommended Stories? Perhaps on a new page or maybe just an extended drop-down menu right there?
Well, it doesn’t. It loads a new page with what used to be called the Intro section of all the stories on the Recommended lists STARTING WITH THE STORIES ALREADY SHOWN ON THAT SHORT LIST.
So the first one which pops up is the one right at the top which you could already see and click on. Then you have to start scrolling….. looking for more of them. Which is what the two red lines are showing, how the “more stories” ISN’T more stories, but these same stories and if want to start your scroll fest, will eventually show you “more stories”.
