The Freeway Blogger aka @PatrickRandall on Twitter, has been creating and posting Free Speech in public spaces for more than a decade now, mostly in southern California.

But the last year or so, he’s been attempting to inspire a army of 1st Amendment enthusiasts to join him in using the new Public Square (the freeways) to convey messages to our fellow citizens in one of the places we KNOW they will be monday to friday for HOURS every day and to do so for pennies.

There are a number of folks who have taken him up on his Challenge, and I’d like to work with some people here in my little corner of the world to promote causes like DACA (or whatever issue is high on your priority list) and candidates for Office here, locally.

I’d like to start a branch outlet here in southwest Washington, to work with people from both WA and Oregon, here in the PDX/Vancouver Metro area.

So… Have some ideas you would like to condense down to 3 or 4 words, and create some signs with cardboard and black & white paint and Duct tape and guerrilla post them on the overpasses from the huge 205-Mill Plain interchange in east Vancouver to the I-5 Bridge to the various interchanges in downtown PDX and out to Beaverton in the SE edge of the Metro area.

If you are interested in the slightest? Leave a comment and let me know you’d like to talk about the logistics of getting together and making some messaging boards to display to our neighbors and fellow citizens.

So that we can take pictures like these and share them on social media:
