Is the purpose of Daily Kos STILL to elect "more and better Democrats" or not?

I thought the people here had learned something from the debacle of 2016.

Apparently not, because a Bernie Sanders story hits the rec list and the slavish adoration of a man who after 2 years still refuses to proudly wear the banner of the Party he wants to use to become president, is massive.

How say you, Markos, is this site still here to elect Democrats into government or not?

Because I am enraged now that this shit-stirrer is coming back for round two.

Just for those who care, here are the things which should concern anyone interested about the man from Vermont:

The man who created the Sanders policies which appealed to younger voters in 2016 (like Free College), Tad Devine, is now being tied into the Russian interference in the 2016 election. To wit: a lot of the bot traffic which damaged Hillary Clinton was tied into creating support for Sanders on social media. The end goal: To make Sanders the nominee and THEN allow the Republican Party to unleash the massive amount of oppo research on Sanders (which they still have on hand).

Who is saying this?

If you google this question: was the sanders campaign tied into the Russian interference in the 2016 election?

Look at what you find — Here’s the link to read some of the stories, and please note these are NOT radical publications, they are mainstream national news orgs for the most part: The Hill, New York Times, USAToday, The Nation, CNN.com and a whole lot more.

From the link to the USAToday story

WASHINGTON – It turns out Donald Trump wasn’t the only candidate the Russians allegedly tried to help during the 2016 presidential campaign.

A 37-page indictment resulting from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation shows that Russian nationals and businesses also worked to boost the campaigns of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Green party nominee Jill Stein in an effort to damage Democrat Hillary Clinton.

The Russians “engaged in operations primarily intended to communicate derogatory information about Hillary Clinton, to denigrate other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump,” according to the indictment, which was issued Friday.

Am I saying Senator Bernie Sanders is a “useful idiot” like Trump? I don’t know, but what I do know is that Sanders failed to vote to keep Sanctions on the Russians (he was the ONLY Senator who failed to vote on this) and he voted AGAINST the Magnitsky Act.

Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but does THIS seem like a person whom people interested in electing more and better Democrats to Office should be supporting?

UPDATE

In response to the comments about Sanders being allowed to run as a Democrat (again), I’m awaiting a reply from DNC Chairman Tom Perez on whether or not he has received the required written notice from Sanders per article VI of the 2020 Call to the Convention rules created as of 2018:

x

@TomPerez has Bernie Sanders sent you a written statement of membership in @TheDemocrats per #ArticleVI of the '2020 Call for the Convention' document? https://t.co/cxUmLl8TX1
