Looks like it was true, except for the Republican Party and Donald Trump.
Think about it for a moment. When was the last time you heard a word about terrorist activities or geo-political strife since before Christmas, which was FOUR MONTHS ago?
Turns out, Donald Trump is that idiot president in Mars Attacks … and just as worthless in fighting this coronavirus as that fool was in fighting those Martians.
I am of course more than thrilled to see, however, that most of the rest of the world has stepped up, just as I always believed they would. What has happened across Earth for the past few months is nothing less than the most sacred idea which ever came from Gene Roddenberry:
“The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.”
In this pandemic, Trump is the one and the few are the Republicans.
But the needs of The People are paramount in this dire time of such uncertainty, and if the insane Party of “Die, quickly” doesn’t recognize the shrieking call of necessity and do the right thing by the people; with legislation to keep the people with food on the table and a roof over their heads and most importantly, STAYING HOME until the medical community tells us it’s time to start going back out into the world?
There will be more than poutrage on social media. They will have awakened a true Sleeping Giant and this country will never be the same again.
There are already reports about families who were middle class less than six months ago at drive-up food banks, waiting in cars in lines miles long for something to feed their family.
What happens when not hundreds or thousands but millions of people surround the White House because the THIRD wave of the virus has just hit, after ANOTHER far too early re-opening of businesses? Because, unfortunately, that is not science fiction, it’s an all-too-possible future with Donald Trump still in power, still fucking us all over and killing tens of thousands because of his insane need for affirmation of his greatness. Daily. Perhaps hourly.
So, if we do somehow find ourselves under an alien invasion anytime in the near future? You’d all better be ready to rise up and overthrow Congress if they don’t have a 1 day, Impeachment & Trial and remove Trump’s quisling ass. Because you and I both know, he’d be this guy, without a fucking doubt…
Just to be clear, this IS a campaign story.
We don’t need more crazy, we need reasonable, even if it does come in an old, white man package.
Vote Joe Biden and whatever Democrats are running for Office where you live. I don’t even care if they’re good Democrats or DINOs, not in 2020. Because the Republicans have proven, time and time again that ON THE WHOLE they are ridiculously STUPID and unworthy of elected Office, and their side-job for 40 years has been to Tax Cut the rich into the wealthy and they’ve done a fine damned job of it, too (there are 623 billionaires in America in 2020).
We have to get rid of them, root and branch in 2020, if we have any hope of wresting power from the hands of criminals and thieves, and corrupt and immoral scalawags and scurrilous folk of all kinds; and saving the nation we all love.
