Imagine with me... It's July 4th, 2021 and the nation has hit a milestone...

As days go, July 4, 2021 was a pretty good one.

President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. and Vice President Kamala Harris had a joint Press Conference this morning and announced the United States has finally gotten #COVID19 on the run.

Every state in the Union, this week, reported zero new cases in the last seven days. 12 states had zero deaths today. Considering how many people died before inauguration day, those numbers are like a miracle.

We’ve got so much to be grateful for, this July 4th.

Even I was astonished to see the amount of criminal indictments which rolled out of Attorney General Adam Schiff’s Dept of Justice, after President Biden was inaugurated. Apparently there is a line in America which cannot be crossed without serious consequences, and being outed as a broke-as-fuck money laundering unamerican President less than 40 days before Election Eve is it. His base finally had enough when they kept watching that death toll rise in Flyover Country. They fled him like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Which brought Joe Biden into the Office with such a level of approbation and public acceptance by the long-term Republicans left in Office, that even their rural base seem to have thrown their red MAGA hats into a dumpster. Haven’t you noticed they just kept getting more rare all year?

The Obama Corps and their Green New Deal projects which President Biden recruited former President Obama to oversee have done what Obama once foresaw during his own first term in response to the Great Recession. Over 5 million direct hires by the Federal Government, which stimulated the economy and have rebuilt an astounding amount of infrastructure already and have projects from bridges to public hospitals to an upgrade of the national power grid and so much more in the works.

Kids will be back to school this fall. Some of them. Some parents decided that remote-school for their kids worked out better. So our public school systems are in transition and probably will be for some time. But I guess a diverse set of paths to a good education, not just trying to stuff all those beautiful shaped little kids into square holes, is a better way to go.

That first 30 days tho — holy moly, Congress and Biden moved on Legislation like a house afire! Wrote Roe V Wade into Law. Rejoined the Paris Accords and made headway with our NATO allies from the pre-Trump era. Biden didn’t even have to invoke that presidential power to order companies to produce what the gov’t needs for an emergency. During the Transition, many reached out to the incoming Biden/Harris team and by Inauguration Day contracts were ready to sign for the production of everything needed by US medical providers to combat COVID19; for the early groundbreaking work to get 1 million people hired and started work in under 30 days. That one was astonishing to watch in real time. The anger on the Right over Trump losing faded pretty damned fast after that first month. Having a job always colors how a person views the wider world, doesn’t it?

Anyhoo. It was a good day. Mostly because we only saw President Biden for about 10 mins. Which is what you want in a President, right? Just a few minutes of his time to tell us all that things are moving along, and he’s proud to be leading the nation back to better days. It’s comforting, knowing that we won’t be hearing much from him going forward, either. Just a headline on the news now and then about another Treaty signed or a Climate Change accord reached or new jobs numbers reaching another record high because of the Green New Deal.

Happy Independence Day!

Does that seem a bit ‘rose-colored glasses’?

Perhaps it is. But it could all come true, just as I’ve outlined it.

It depends upon just one thing.

Mass turnout by as many of the 1/3 of the eligible voters who historically never participate in our elections, as we can manage. It is the ONE thing guaranteed to oust Trump, and McConnell from his seat as Senate Majority Leader (if not his Senate seat itself), and change the political face of America in one fell swoop.

Nothing less will do.

Do your part. During the pandemic your options ARE limited, but they don’t all come with an Act Blue URL to send some money to a candidate.

During these waning days of the election what YOU can do, is reach out to all of the people in your personal sphere of influence. That’s everyone you know, from family to friends to neighbors to  members of any group you are active in and if you ARE NOT A FEDERAL EMPLOYEE your fellow employees wherever you work. Text them, call them. Make sure they are already registered to vote and if not?

Tell them to go to Vote.org and have their state-issued photo ID handy. They’ll be able to check their voter status and get registered if it they are not in under FIVE MINUTES for most states!

Outside of that? You can still donate for late ad buys for the candidate of your choice. Brainwrap has been running some Act Blue fundraising and you can donate to them via the links in his latest story on it:

$2.3 MILLION raised to help Dem candidates so far. Now let's go for $3.0 million by November!

You can volunteer for a local candidate and send Text messages to already identified Democratic Party voters, reminding them of the deadlines to register to vote, to expect a ballot in the mail if they are in a Vote By Mail/Absentee Okay state. To make a plan to vote if they have to go vote in-person. Lotta work still to be done and you can help!

Wondering how to do that? Ask me and I’ll point you in the right direction!

We need a deep, broad Blue Wave to wash this nation clean, folks and it’s up TO US collectively to help push and push and push that wave to get it to climb HIGH!

Here’s to victory on November 3rd and some things to truly celebrate this coming July 4th.

Sí, se puede cambiar, amigos. Remember how you felt when you heard this 12 years ago…

Play to win like the future is riding on it.

IT IS
