In the history of this Earth there has only been one way where a bunch of people ever made a difference in the world around them.
They put aside their differences when a threat so big came around that it threatened everyone in it’s path. They even took up the age old idea, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, and made good use of it in troubled times.
This entire misadministration of Donald Trump’s has one goal: to remove institutional knowledge from federal agency civilian ranks, to decimate institutional knowledge from the highest ranks of the US military, to eradicate the professional scientific institutional knowledge from research universities and other institutions….
to end the Federal Government’s ability to function coherently.
The man elected to lead the Nation and uphold this Oath:
Article II, Section 1, Clause 8
Presidential Oath of Office
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:– I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
The US President is the chief executive of the Federal Gov’t, and the laws written by Congress and signed into law by previous presidents are the laws s/he is so sworn to uphold via their Office as President.
Trump is forsworn, as a president. He is continuing an ongoing grift of the Office (his crypto currency) and loudly, publicly ignores any and all constitutional restrictions on his actions (i,e, emoluments).
Since the current 119th Congress is populated with a majority of Republicans in both Houses, the Democrats can do nothing to prevent the GOP and Trump from passing any laws they so desire and sign into Law… except in the Senate.
But that would require that the Senate Minority Leader, currently Chuck Schumer of New York, rally his Cacus and filibuster and invoke cloture votes (they can do both things) on every motion, every Bill which comes to the Senate Floor. To OBSTRUCT is their only real tool and Schumer should be using it every damned day. He is not, he most certainly is not.
You know who is?
John Thune, the Republican Majority Leader.

There are ways out of this mess. There are.
But every one of them relies on us all surviving long enough to have our elections on Nov 3, 2026.
So, stop taking the bait that we need to scourge our Current Democrats in Office for NOT DOING ENOUGH.
The sad, horrible truth is there isn’t much they can do, outside of Media shows like 25 hour Filibusters. Because far too many Republicans won their elections last year.
Want an America without a president Trump?
MAKE DAMNED SURE THE DEMS START 2027 OUT WITH A MAJORITY CONGRESS.
Throw enough Republicans out of their seats from state legislatures to Congress to scare the living shit out of them.
Use all of the anger Trump has incited in YOU and turn that energy into a force for good.
Join the League of Women Voters in your state and work to register more new voters.

It is the single most powerful thing you can do between now and Nov 3, 2026, believe it or not.
