Of course, I'll be asking prospective constituents here in the 3rd District this question over the coming months, and I'll be discussing those ideas with fellow Democratic Party members here in Washington State during the campaign.
But pretend for the moment that I am YOUR Representative to Congress right now. What law or regulation would you like to see enacted or conversely, replaced or outright repealed?
From the ever popular Legalization of Cannabis at the Federal Level to directed Block Grants for Early Childhood Education to Farm Subsidy eligibility (such as restricting federal farm subsidies to small farms of less than 5,000 acres owned by individuals who work on the farm land).
ASK ME ANYTHING.
Because this is exactly what's going to be coming my way, sooner or later, and I'd really, really, like a chance to get some practice in!
Here are some images from the event I attended today here in Southwest Washington for Planned Parenthood (one of the many events which took place around the nation) under the hashtag #PinkOut.
Planned Parenthood is a terrific organization which in my own county has served over 6000 women this past year and nationwide offers healthcare to over 2.6 million American women! The attack on them by the Republicans in the US Congress is just one more battle in the War on Women. We all need to join hands (either in person or online, every bit of progressive action matters) and help them fight back against these lying tools of the Right.
Please contact YOUR US Rep and US Senators and tell them PROTECT Planned Parenthood, because they protect the health of millions of American Women!
